The idea for Collective Futures was born when April, Lisa, and Shelby were working together at an Indianapolis-based consulting firm. They had been doing work in the public sphere individually and collectively for decades. While they felt deeply connected to the projects and clients in their previous roles, they desired to do their work where equity was woven into the fabric of the organization.

Collective Futures is currently incorporated as a Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) with all consultants named as partners. The founding partners are committed to ensuring that Collective Futures remains an employee-owned and operated venture. As such, the business structure may shift over time as the team evolves.
